LOCAL CAFES IN RIPON

Updated: Mar 28, 2023

The following cafes are well worth a visit, these include: Oliver’s Pantry, Realitea, Wakeman and the Cathedral View.

Oliver’s pantry, RIPON

Distance - 5 minutes drive

We love it here, it’s surprisingly large and if it’s busy you wont wait long for a table. The pancakes are amazing, as is the large English breakfast.

There are tons of cafes and we are really enjoying making our way round them.

Realitea, RIPON

Distance - 5 minutes drive

An Indian tea house offering Indian home cooked lunches (grandmas recipes), with Raj high tea and all home made cakes from Indian Grannies recipes (mango and cardamon cake is to die for!) to English classics like Victoria sponge.

It is 100% worth a trip – pre book afternoon tea or arrive at 11/12 noon before they sell out.

THE Wakeman’s HOUSE, RIPON

Distance - 5 minutes drive

A beautiful old building with traditional cream teas, a friendly welcome and a very traditional menu. They have been around a long time and their reviews are very impressive.

Cathedral view, RIPON

Distance - 5 minutes drive

With views of the cathedral and a super friendly owner, home made cakes and sandwiches made to order. We haven’t been yet but have been recommended this café by several people.
